Meagan grew up in Maryland but has been living in the south in Birmingham, Alabama since 2007. Her background is in education, with 16 years of classroom teaching experience as both a 4th grade teacher and then as an elementary gifted teacher. Meagan will officially be a certified ILCT grief coach in February 2026. She has taken courses in cognitive behavioral coaching, wellness coaching, and grief coaching.

Meagan believes that grief coaching is multifaceted. In other words, grief isn’t just about death. Meagan believes that grief can happen due to a variety of life circumstances including divorce, relationships, illness, job loss, and more. As a coach, she supports clients through all types of loss, not just the loss of a loved one. Meagan's undergraduate degree is in elementary education from Elon University, in North Carolina. Her master’s degree is in gifted education from Samford University in Birmingham, AL.
